  1. This is actually quite an intelligent piece. (I think the featured image misrepresents this piece).

    The main argument is ultimately wrong though. Peace on a people-to-people basis can follow an elite manufactured deal. Essential to the deal is the separation of the two conflicting nations. Some space will allow for cooling off. Then people-to-people reconciliation can come.

    Conversely, to wait for the success of a people to people reconciliation would take too long. By all means, go for it. It’s a good thing to work on, but if we are to have peace in our lifetime it will be an elite manufactured deal- as perhaps most significant political reforms are.
